Most likely your captain will be Captain Ed Peters who holds multiple Merchant Mariner Credentials including Master Captain of Motor Vessels upon Coastal and Inland Waters. Captain Ed is American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certified and holds a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) enabling access and unescorted operation of vessels in and out of secure areas of maritime facilities. In addition to his maritime credentials, Captain Ed is also an FAA certified aviation pilot and your safety is his foremost priority. While the magnificent St.Lawrence River is one of the most scenic waterways in the world, it is also part of the St. Lawrence Seaway shipping lane that extends over 2000 miles from Duluth, Minnesota to the Atlantic Ocean. It is possible while on your cruise we will encounter these enormous freighters from all parts of the world. It is an experience like no other! Expect a safe and carefree ride while abiding by maritime rules and regulations as Captain Ed (or another experienced and certified U.S.C.G. river captain) will safely guide you up close to these impressive ships as well as meander among the beautiful 1000 Islands of the St. Lawrence River.
